Alfa Romeo finally took the wraps off its 2016 Giulia earlier this week, and while some of you believe the Italian carmaker has been a little conservative with its design, it’s a completely different story when it comes to one of its powerplants.
Excitement for the Alfa Romeo Giulia 2016 engine lineup — There is a huge amount of anticipation about what Alfa Romeo will reveal at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, especially when it comes to those engines.
There was just the one engine revealed a few days ago, but what an engine it was, as it was developed by Ferrari, so you know this means business. It has been made from aluminium and is a 3.0-litre V6, biturbo engine that will produce a mindboggling 503 horsepower.
This makes it more powerful than the 469 horsepower Mercedes C63 AMG and 425HP BMW M3, and matches the power output of the Mercedes C63 S AMG.
While we do not have the specific 2016 Alfa Romeo Giulia performance figures, we can tell you it will get to 62 miles per hour from a standstill in 3.9 seconds.
As for those other engines, we doubt they will be more powerful than this beauty, and so it will be interesting to see what those others will be, and how they compare to more standard BMW and Mercedes model.
