Affordable 13-inch MacBook Air model coming in 2018

Those who are looking for a cheaper option on Apple’s MacBook line will be encouraged by the latest rumors this week, which suggest that Apple will introduce a cheaper 13-inch MacBook Air onto the market.

At the moment, Apple has pricing set on their 13-inch MacBook Air at $999 so it will be exciting news for fans if Apple are planning to go lower than this.

The rumors are according to 9to5Mac, who cite analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities and his latest investor notes. He states that the new cheaper model will be arriving in the second quarter of 2018, so hopefully we’ll be getting a confirmation from Apple on this soon if true.

How will the MacBook Air form factor be altered if Apple are planning to lower costs? Will it be a downgrade in specs or will Apple maintain the same specs but use cheaper design materials?

We look forward to sharing more information on this rumor with you soon.
