Adobe Flash Player 15.0.0.189 download problems

Adobe has just launched yet another new Flash Player update for Windows and Mac. The Adobe Flash Player 15.0.0.189 download should be live for you right now, but we noticed one or two issues when trying to update.

Most of you should already have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, as you’ll notice a pop-up on your YouTube videos that you need to update before watching.

The first time we tried to download though, we noticed that the Adobe Flash Player 15.0.0.189 download was stuck on 97%. Fortunately, downloading the software a second time seemed to solve the problems as the installation went through without any issues – obviously make sure that your web browser is closed as always.

We also noticed however that the new version didn’t start playing Flash content straight away and we still could see the message about an old version of Flash stopping the content from working.

Only did a system reboot fix the problem, so make sure you reboot after installing if you encounter any of the same issues. This is different to previous versions of Flash Player, as usually the new version would start working straight away and never needed a system reboot.

In the past, I have been given the option to install Adobe updates or not. This time, I was no given any such option. I received a blunt message from Adobe saying my software was out of date and they had disabled it. Is that even legal for them to do, to come onto a private computer without any warning or notice and disable your software? Anyway, ever since the update, I can’t do anything. I can no longer read my web-based email, I can’t watch videos, and any site I visit that uses flash just shows as big, blank… Read more »

Since the update – I can’t open any PDF documents from Utilities websites – have had to uninstall Flash so I can continue to work !

Since the update my Chrome just keeps on crashing – “a plugin (Shockwave Flash) isn’t responding”. Tried a few reboots, but no love…… Any ideas?

Nothing I’ve done works. I’m on a Mac OS X 10.6.8. I’ve installed it then restarted my computer multiple times and it simply won’t “take”. Very frustrated at this point.
