Adobe Flash 10.2 for Mobile: Features List – Honeycomb Only

We recently informed you that the desktop version of Adobe Flash Player 10.2 was available to download, but now we have some details on the mobile version, including a list of new features compared to version 10.1.

As reported from Engadget, Adobe’s Anup Murarka was speaking at a recent event when the company unveiled their plans for the updated mobile version of their popular Flash Player.

You’ll be pleased to know that 10.2 will come with a list of improved features, some of these include better video quality and higher frame rates, a reduction on the processor power required, and also less memory usage consumption.

Now on to some good news, followed by some bad news. We’re hearing that using Adobe Flash 10.2 for Mobile will reap benefits in terms of your battery life on Android and BlackBerry devices. The bad news, is that 10.2 is apparently locked to Android 3.0 Honeycomb only, which is disappointing if you’re using a Galaxy S handset for example, since we all know that Samsung take forever to push out updates.

If you are planning to pick up a Honeycomb equipped device, you can look forward to the release of Flash 10.2, which Adobe state will be available in a matter of weeks. For everyone else though, time to make the decision on whether to upgrade your handset or not.

Are you a bit surprised that 10.2 will only have support for Honeycomb as a mininium?
