Activision remove Infinity Ward’s Jason West from further duty

Some interesting news to report to you now, as it looks as if Activision has removed two key studio heads at Infinity Ward, over an internal issue which hasn’t been fully disclosed yet.

According to this Joystiq report, the members are Jason West and Vince Zampella, with both of them thought to be now at ‘unemployed’ status.

Activision has released a statement, in which they state that they are ”concluding an internal human resources inquiry into breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward”.

While they did not go into this in detail, a recent Facebook update from Jason West stated the following: “Jason West is drinking. Also, no longer employed.” Community Manager Robert Bowling has not yet commented on the matter.

What do you make of this? Full details over at Joystiq. We’ll update you when we hear more info regarding this matter.
