Acer’s Frameless design: The future of laptops?

Some exciting news to bring you now, as it has been reported that Acer are developing a new and innovative laptop computer, that will feature a ‘frameless design’, along with a touchscreen keyboard.

It may sound crazy to you, but just take a look at a concept picture below for a close up of how the device may look. As Pocket-Lint reports, the laptop will not feature a back-casing on the screen, but instead will make use of ‘glass substrate’ to secure the screen in place.

It is understood that this type of material is known as ‘Gorilla Glass’, while the device is also set to include a cool-looking touchscreen keyboard, which the layout can be altered – depending on which application you are running. (We like the sound of that!).

What are your thoughts on this? Would you be interested in buying one if Acer were to release it?
