We have some good news for those of you who have been keeping an eye on the Acer Liquid Metal smartphone, as the device has appeared on the FCC website, meaning that it may be ready for public release soon.
As reported from Engadget, you’ll be delighted to hear that the FCC listing reveals that the Liquid Metal will come with Android 2.2 Froyo, and not Android 2.1 as some might have feared.
Other details revealed include an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230-1 processor, GSM/EDGE 850/1900 and WCDMA Band II and V, leading us to presume that this handset will be headed towards AT&T exclusively.
Engadget mention that the handset is due out this month in the UK, but it’s still not available as far as we know. Check out the FCC listing for yourself and let us know your thoughts on the Acer Liquid Metal.
