Back at the beginning of April we brought you US pricing and release date information on the much-anticipated Android Honeycomb-based Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablet. At the time we told you that the device would be available to purchase from Best Buy as from April 24th, for a price of $500.
We’ve now received word that the 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet has just arrived at OfficeMax. According to a recent crunchgear.com article by Matt Burns, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablet is now available to purchase from OfficeMax.com, and will soon be available at all 900 retail stores.
The other bit of good news is the price of the device, as OfficeMax has the Wi-Fi-enabled Iconia Tab A500 priced up at $449. 99. The Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablet comes with a USB port and a microSD card slot, as well as support for Dolby Mobile audio and custom home screen widgets.
It also features a slim and modern aluminum design, a 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processor, integrated GeForce GPU and a 10.1-inch multi-touch display. The Acer Iconia Tab A500 also comes with both front and rear facing cameras for taking photos and videos, as well as video conferencing.
