Acer Android-based Tablet: Release Info and Specs

If you have been awaiting an Android-based tablet release we have some useful information for you, it looks as if Acer will be releasing an iPad alternative before the year is out.

Their tablet is still a bit of a mystery, however we are assured that it will feature a 7 inch display along with built-in 3G connectivity, perhaps it’s most unique feature is a physical QWERTY keyboard at the bottom of the touchscreen display.

Full release details are unclear, however we are hearing that it could be available in Q4 2010, if this release period is not met, we are assured it will definitely be available in 2011.

If Acer impact the tablet market before 2011 they may well see some success, however if they are delayed until 2011 they could perhaps be swamped by other Google Android and Chrome OS-based tablets.
