Canon have recently announced four new digital cameras, all these cameras are entry-level cameras and are part of their PowerShot A-Series.
The four cameras are the PowerShot A3100 IS, the A3000 IS, the A495 and the A490, all of these cameras improve on the standards set by previous A-Series cameras as they feature two new creative scene modes and a wider ISO range.
The two new creative scene modes are ‘Poster Effect’ and ‘Super Vivid’, the ISO range is now up to 3200, content is now easier to upload to YouTube and they also support SDXC memory cards with a maximum capacity of 2TB.
The A3100 IS and A3000 IS are pretty similar, the A3100 IS is available in 3 different colors (vibrant red, blue and silver) whereas the A3000 IS is only available in a two-toned black and silver casing.
The A3100 IS features a 12.1 megapixel sensor, whereas the A3000 IS features a 10 megapixel sensor, both cameras feature a 4x Optical Zoom, and a 2.7 inch LCD screen.
The A3100 will be available in February for $179.99 and the A3000 will launch at the same time for $149.99.
