We have all heard at how 3D TV is going to be the next biggest thing — this was evident enough at CES 2010 at the beginning of the year. Panasonic and Samsung have both released their first model — with Sony following in the next few months. However, there have been suggestions that 3D TV is just another gimmick.
TechRadar was the ones who made this comment, but why did they say such a thing? They say that 3D TV is something that we do not need, as well as the fact that it is not as good as they make out — and I would have to agree.
I have been to a number of 3-D movies at the cinema, and they just do not do anything for me. Things are not too bad when you focus on the center, the moment you look at another part of the screen, it all goes blurry — that and the fact that my eyes begin to see double becomes a huge pain.
However, there are those who believe that 3D is here to stay as cable companies are beginning to show a number of events in 3D. I believe that 3D is still in its infancy, so we should not consider buying a 3D TV until the technology has had time to evolve.
