Sculpteo has been showing their 3DPCase app and the 3D iPhone 4/4S, and iPhone 5 cases it can help create at CES 2013. One 3D iPhone 5 case can be seen in the image below and shows a skull, although this is a base model that you can start designing from rather than starting a case from scratch.
It is worth noting that Sculpteo had been named “Best of Innovations” at CES 2013. The app can be found on ITunes here, which is currently at v1.7 and features an improved background texture selection and a number of bug fixes. We had a quick play and found it fun and easy to use with a number of different designs, we also enjoyed the ability to play around with my photos.
This is an amazing app for our creative readers that like to design something for the world to see, and you would be able to say “I made this“, considering you take your iPhone everywhere with you. The 3D iPhone cases can be customized in endless ways, and are priced well at around $30.
The 3D-printed iPhone cases can be purchased directly from Sculpteo through the app. If you designed a 3D iPhone case, what would be your first 3D case created? You can watch a video below that explains more about what is possible and had been shot while at CES this year.
