It was the news that some feared may happen and sadly if you haven’t yet yet, the release date for Dark Souls Remastered on Nintendo Switch has been delayed.
The game was initially due for release on May 25 along with the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game. Unfortunately though, we now know that the Switch version won’t make this date as it has been revised until ‘Summer 2018’ instead.
The Tweet below from From Software confirms this, but we have also had some additional information from Namco Bandai who say that the reasons for delay are purely developmental and nothing else.
Due to various reasons, the release for the Nintendo Switch version of "Dark Souls Remastered" has been moved to Summer, 2018. We offer our sincerest apologies to everyone anticipating its release, and hope you will enjoy being able to play Dark Souls anywhere at any time.

Definitely not, purely development.
The new release timing gives the dev team the time needed to make sure Nintendo Switch players can fully appreciate the true DARK SOULS experience anytime and anywhere, thanks to the unique portable nature of the Nintendo Switch console.

As you can expect many Switch owners are unhappy about this, while others are willing to accept the delay as long as it means a better quality game upon release with no launch problems.
Where do you stand on the delay? Are you sad that the Nintendo Switch as a platform is now last to get the game compared to other consoles and PC?
