New Red Dead Redemption 2 release date in 2018 after delay

By Alan Ng - Feb 2, 2018

It was the news that many gamers feared and this week it has been confirmed as reality. Unfortunately, the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date in 2018 has been delayed again and now we have the new date to bring you as well as an explanation why from Rockstar.

Just to recap, this is not the first time that the game has been delayed. RDR2’s original announcement came back in October 2016 and the initial plan was for a Fall 2017 release.

However this was delayed until Spring 2018 while fans received a new trailer and now we have just learned that you won’t be able to play until October 2018.

The good news at least, is that we now have a confirmed release date for Red Dead Redemption 2 of October 26, 2018.

Rockstar has apologised for the delay saying they need more time for final polishes, in their statement which you can read here.

The statement also contains a selection of new screenshots to enjoy and you can see a couple of them here which look fantastic.

What are your thoughts on this delay? Are you supportive of Rockstar with this decision and don’t mind waiting as long as the game is completely ready?
