2018 iPhone with 6.1-inch screen and crazy price rumors

We have an update to bring you now on the rumored and highly anticipated ‘cheaper’ iPhone which Apple are reportedly planning to launch this year.

It is good news too although somewhat surprising if we are going to believe the new claims made by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities.

According to his predictions, Apple will introduce a new 6.1-inch iPhone with an LCD display that will be priced at just $550. Furthermore, one of the highlights of this lower-end iPhone will be the option of having support for dual-SIM cards, making it much more accessible for smartphones lovers in countries such as China and India.

A new 2018 iPhone model with a starting price of $550 would be something of a dream for many iPhone fans, especially considering that the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 is currently priced at $550 on the Apple Store.

Does that mean that for the same price as the previous generation iPhone, Apple are throwing in a bigger display but retaining or possibly even upgrading on some of the hardware features within?

It could be a big hit with fans if so and we can’t wait to see if there will be a confirmation of this at WWDC 2018, or if Apple will wait until their traditional September iPhone event to give everyone the news.

Let us know your thoughts on this – would you love to buy a 6.1-inch iPhone for $550 and don’t need an OLED display?
