With MWC 2016 fast approaching the rumors and leaks for upcoming handsets and tablets have become more frequent, although this comes as no surprise to us. While most of the talk will be about certain flagship smartphones, we do know that the likes of Samsung will also be revealing a new tablet or two, with recent rumors suggesting the Galaxy Tab S3 to be one of them.
There is currently some confusion with this, because while many of us presume that the Galaxy Tab S2 successor should be the S3, there is a possibility that it could just be an update to the current model, and so no need for the name to change.
Luckily we do not have too long to wait to ind out, although we do have additional details on the S2 upgrade, or whatever it will be called.
Looking at recent benchtests from Geekbench and GFXBench we can see that the next Galaxy tablet from Samsung will also come in two sizes like the current versions, as these is the 8-inch and 9.7-inch. Most of the specs look to be the same, such as a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC processor, Adreno 510 graphics, 3GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera at the rear and a 2MP shooter up front.
Both will ruin Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, although the larger of the two will have a higher screen resolution of 1536 x 2048.
Do you think Samsung will class this as a Galaxy Tab S2 upgrade, or a fully-fledged S3 model?
