Ford is all set to release its 2016 Sync 3 update, and with it comes a host of new features, two of which are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. We don’t yet know its specific release date, all we know is that it will happen this year – sorry we are unable to offer any more details on this.
Other Ford Sync 3 update improvements – Sync Connect technology will get a much-needed update to allow for a bunch of remote function as well, such as being able to start the vehicle remotely, unlock the doors, find where your car is parked, and also check the fuel level.
That’s not all, as Ford has a few other new functions planned with the release of the Ford Sync 3 update, such as apps. Ford Media informs us that one of them will be called AAA for US users and CAA drivers in Canada. These apps will monitor the fuel prices at gas stations near your location and inform you if you are running low on fuel.
Another app is Concur, which is more for business users, as it tracks your milage while being used for business purposes. The Eventseeker app is self explanatory, as it will search for nearby events and inform you.
These are just some of the new features, but there is much more to come, more details of which will be shared at CES in Las Vegas.
