There are so many expectations in regard to the 2016 Maruti Suzuki Jimny, which is rumored to be launched at the start of next year. This is to be an entry-level model and said to take over from the Gypsy. However, one of the more requested questions is the 2016 Maruti Jimny price in India, and from what we know it is expected to start at Rs 7 lakh, and go up to around Rs 10 lakh.
The Jimny has proved a popular model globally, and so will be interesting to see how Indian drivers take to it, and if they feel it will become a worthy successor to the Gypsy. It is not how if there will be a soft and hard top version of this small SUV for the India market as there are globally?
2016 Maruti Jimmy specifications should differ slightly to the international version, such as going from a two-door to a four-door configuration, and going from a four, to a five-seater. There should also be changes to the front grille and also the headlights.
We also suspect that the bonnet will come with a different design along with revised bumpers. As for the engine options, there should be a choice of petrol and diesel, such as the 1.3-liter diesel power unit.
As for its biggest rival, this will be the Mahindra Thar, and so the new Maruti Suzuki Jimmy will have to be something very special to dissuade drivers of India to go with this model of SUV instead.
