No Droid Turbo 2 Star Wars C-3PO, R2-D2 editions

We feel as though Motorola and Verizon missed a trick when releasing the Droid Turbo 2 Star Wars editions today, because they have left out an option for C-3PO, R2-D2 variants. How can you have a Droid Android handset that celebrates the countdown to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and not have the two most famous droids?

Let’s not be too negative though, as these new additions will certainly appeal to a lot of Star Wars fans out there, with five options in all. These are BB-8, First Order Storm Trooper, Kylo Ren, Poe Dameron and Rey. The color and back plate will change depending on which character you choose.

Consumers have already been in contact with us to moan about the fact that all they get is a paint job and Star Wars wallpapers, but what else do they expect?

Star Wars editions of the Droid Turbo 2

However, we can fully understand why some consumers that have just bought a new Motorola Droid Turbo 2 from Verizon are angry, as they just missed out on this option. Ok, so we know this theme is not for everyone, but there is always a market for such things.

Speaking of which, there has been a growing number of people wondering why we do not see the likes of a Star Wars iPhone 6S Edition? These sort of custom model phones are very popular, although we can only assume that Apple feels this is too much of a gimmick and would not be long before owners grew tired of them.

Would you liked to have seen a C-3PO and R2-D2 Droid Turbo 2 handset?
