PS4 Remote Play on PC price fears after Sony action

By Alan Ng - Nov 24, 2015

We can see that some groundbreaking developments have been made behind the scenes to get a PS4 Remote Play app on PC working unofficially without backing from Sony.

It’s been made possible by user Twister, who has shown evidence of the app working seamlessly and much to the delight of PS4 users who are very excited about this breakthrough.

The issue at hand is that Twister plans to pay for usage and that this could lead to Sony issuing an immediate takedown of the app – since the app will be collecting revenue from Sony’s product essentially.

While we have already seen a vast number of PS4 users willing to pay the $10 / £6.50 asking price, it may be up to Sony now ultimately – or in other words, how lenient they decide to be.

It appears that this app is an amazing tool, which has been the result of months of hard work from the developer getting everything running smoothly.

A second video which we’ve added below also shows that there is no input lag either between PS4 and PC which is another achievement on its own.

What are your thoughts on the project? Would you be willing to pay to support it to download PS4 Remote Play on PC for yourself, or are you worried that it is going to get shut down by Sony at any moment?

It is remote play, you don’t need a Good PC to run this, it doesn’t require huge capabilities of your PC since it won’t even used them.
