Alba 8-inch AC101CPL tablet review uncertainty

If you are looking for a cheap tablet to buy in the UK, many of you may have spotted that Argos are planning to offer the Alba 8-inch tablet for £49.

This is a great price for a tablet that comes pre-loaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop, the latest version of Google’s mobile software.

For that price, it also includes some fantastic features with the Alba 8-inch tablet ac101cpl specs including a 8-inch display with a 1280 x 800 HD resolution, a 1.3GHz MediaTek 8163 quad core processor and 1GB of RAM.

This tablet has 8GB of internal storage built-in, but crucially it can expand upon this with MicroSD card to alleviate storage concerns.

Other features include webcam, Mini-HDMI output, Micro USB for charging and up to 3.5 hours of battery life – there is no rear camera on this tablet.

With the great features aside, we do however have a warning to mention to those interested in buying. There is currently no manufacturer listing for this tablet, while there are also no Alba 8-inch tablet reviews online.

On the Argos support section, we can also see that there isn’t even a Alba 8-inch tablet manual available when you enter the tablet’s model number – which may be alarming to some since this is usually a mandatory requirement.

What are your early thoughts on this tablet? Are you ok to take the risk without reading reviews first, given that the price is very attractive for Android 5.1 and a quad-core processor?
