We have a quick heads-up to all Black Ops 3 players who may be wondering why they sometimes see the ‘game settings have changed’ message on Black Ops 3.
When this happens, it means that there has been a hotfix for the game with Treyarch issuing some key changes to certain gameplay mechanics that doesn’t require a full system update or patch notes release.
However, we can tell you that at the time of writing we are now on Black Ops 3 update 33.19.20. This is hours after a 33.18.20 hotfix which was launched with some significant weapon tuning – we know this as Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar has already given players a heads-up on the hotfix via Reddit.
More importantly though there has been changes to 11 weapons in the game, split between 5 ‘nerf’ and also 6 buffs to weapons.
Weapons receiving a slight nerf are the Gorgon, VMP, Pharo, XR-2 and the Haymaker. At the same time, those getting a buff are the Razorback, Dingo, HMK-30, KRM-262, Locus and Argus.
Details on what has changed for these weapons can be seen in the Reddit link above, but David Vonderhaar states that they are minor tweaks, not major.
Still, we know that many of you are curious whenever weapons are tuned. Give us your thoughts on this stealth hotfix and any other changes you notice in the game after the BO3 33.19.20 patch.
