Fallout 4 Day One 1.0.1 update for Elevator bug fix

By Alan Ng - Nov 10, 2015

We have a word of warning to all Fallout 4 launch buyers. Bethesda has sent a last minute message to all players advising them to install the Fallout 4 Day One update before starting the game.

This has been for good reason as if you don’t, it looks like you will get stuck in an elevator on Fallout 4 later on in the game.

The Fallout 4 1.01 update around 500MB in size should be live on PS4 and Xbox One right now and you can check that you have it installed in the settings menu, the Fallout 4 system update should be 1.1.21 according to Bethesda’s tweet below.

It’s obviously not ideal installing another update for Fallout 4 when you think you have installed enough updates already prior to launch – but it is what it is these days with massive game launches.

By the looks of it, the Fallout 4 elevator bug was a major one so it’s good that Bethesda has already fixed it up among issuing other optimization tweaks.
