At Sony’s E3 2015 press conference, Hello Games showed off a live demo of highly anticipated console exclusive No Man’s Sky. The game had also been planned for a PC release after the PS4 version, but now we’re happy to confirm that the No Man’s Sky PC release date will launch on the exact same date as Sony’s version.
When the game was first announced, it was unveiled as a timed-exclusive to PS4. However now, Sean Murray from Hello Games has revealed that the PC version will be available on the same date.
No Man’s Sky is going to be a massive scale adventure game, with worlds and planets being generated randomly as players progress through the game – we saw an example of this with the live demo at Sony’s E3 when Sean Murray discovered the planet ‘Keyti‘.
Of course, the most important piece of information is still missing – the actual No Man’s Sky release date for PS4 and PC. Hopefully the game is coming at the end of 2015, but given that no details on this were announced at E3, we wouldn’t be surprised if the game is pushed into early 2016 either.
Delays happen all the time now and the live demo on PS4 showed us that there’s still plenty of development to do on the game.
For now, watch the live demo on PS4 and let us know if you prefer to pick up the PC version. It could mean mods and an infinite amount of never-ending content for the game.
How excited are you about No Man’s Sky after E3, do you see it as a game in a similar mould to Eve Online?
