Tesla Model S software update 6.2 with new mode

By Peter Chubb - Mar 20, 2015

Several days ago Elon Musk said that he would put an end to range anxiety, something that is usually associated with people that drive electric cars. Whenever you are on a journey in an electric vehicle, there is always that thought in the back of your mind whether you will get there or not. It’s for this very reason that the new Tesla Model S software update 6.2 has a new feature that helps to reduce that nagging feeling in the back of your mind.

We had assumed that this new update would help to increase the range of the Model S, but it has not done so. However, we should not dismiss this update just yet because it is very clever in what it does.

Range Assurance and Trip Planner – are two new features built into software update 6.2 for the Model S, which is a system that makes certain you always have enough charge to make it to your desired destination.

What this does is makes certain that it includes scheduled stops on the way in order to charge your Model S, so you have peace of mind that you will get to your final destination. Ok, so this is in no way a huge breakthrough in order to help extend the range, but it’s a worthwhile feature.

Other new features include Automatic Emergency Braking and Blind Spot Warning functions to help make your driving experience that much safer. However, it is the addition of Valet Mode that we find most interesting, as when you activate it your glove box and front mounted trunk will be locked, perfect to give you peace of mind if you give other people access to your Model S that you do not trust.

It’s amazing how many mindless lemmings there are that take Elon Musk’s dishonest ignorant words as gospel. Tesla fan boys are a cult. The updates will not end range anxiety. The updates added some things that should have been included in the first place. There still will be range anxiety, for many reasons. The Tesla model S has very limited range & takes much longer to refill then an ICE. There still will be unexpected delays, unexpected weather, insufficient charging infrastructure, hills, terrain, unexpected detours, map/navigation errors, accidents, charging station failures/outages, power outages, etc. that will all contribute to the continuation of range anxiety to many Tesla owners. It’s dishonest & ignorant to claim it will be impossible to unintentionally run a Tesla out of juice.

Does the software update, a superduper supersecret Ovaltine decoder ring? (Sarcasm, referring to the dolts that are duped by the gimmicks & hype)

eLOON tweets his twits. Tesla fan boys keep sucking up the Kool-Aid. Despite eLOON’s ignorance & lies; Tesla fan boys look up to and worship eLOON as a god. Some even openly worship eLOON as a god.

If Tesla fan boys keep wearing their tinfoil hats, maybe eLOON Musk will make them his wives, let them ride his rocket, keep sucking up his Kool-Aid, rendezvous with a UFO behind the next comet to escape from the killer robots. lol

Marshall Applewhite & eLOON Musk have a lot in common & have similar cult followers.

eLOON Musk & Tesla fan boys ought to be in prison like Kevin Trudeau. eLOON Musk and Tesla fan boys fraudulently claimed Tesla batteries are non-toxic, non-hazardous, green, environmentally friendly, & contain no heavy metals. Despite the fact that Tesla’s own emergency responder guide for the Tesla model S indicates that Tesla batteries contain hazardous toxic materials & heavy metals.
