2015 Galaxy Note 10.1 and Pro 12.2 Edition likely at MWC

By Peter Chubb - Jan 20, 2015

There was some hope that Samsung could have unveiled either the 2015 Galaxy Note 10.1 or the Pro 12.2 Edition during the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this month, but that never transpired. With that in mind, there is now reason to believe that Sammy could use MWC as a platform to launch its new tablets.

We have heard reports from several of our readers that tried to purchase the current version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, but were told by retailers that it has been discontinued. This led them to believe that a new model would be showcased soon, and so we can only assume that the 2015 Mobile World Congress would be the ideal platform.

2015 Galaxy Note Pro 12.2

Some people have still been able to get one of these tablets, although others have said they are now undecided because they are not certain if they should go ahead and buy one now, or wait and purchase the 2015 edition, albeit at a higher price.

There is a possibility that Samsung could get rid of the Galaxy Note 10.1 altogether and concentrate on some of its other tablet models, although this is highly unlikely.

Having said that, there does seem to be more of a demand for the 2015 Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Edition because the current model already offers a lot, and so the next-generation can only improve on that.

Let’s say that Samsung does unveil both these tablets in March, what is it that you would like to see in terms of their specifications and design?

I own a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 but i am looking forward or the Note Pro 2015. I expect a higher resolution display on AMOLED, a 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity for the S-Pen and even a larger PEN if possible.

I’m looking for an AMOLED screen. I cant stand that LCD, even the ‘super clear’ LCD. I think it really blows, in the sunlight. And I also think it really sucks down the battery too. If you turn the brightness up any more than 25% with an LCD, the back-light will give you an incredibly short run time. But, with an AMOLED setup. You can crank your brightness up to say 75% and still get a better lifespan. And now AMOLED has probably gotten better. The last time a bought into AMOLED, was my GS2 phone, and I still have it. Although it may be on jellybean, it still works perfectly. AMOLED, was young then. So it had to get better.

OK. That said. I also want to have a USB type C, connector. The older micro USB, bend way to easy. Then they don’t make a connection, and are garbage. AND the NEW type C, cannot be turned upside down. Both directions are correct. And they will allow for 100 watts of power flow. So charges could, technically, be super fast.

Oh yeah, and LOLLYPOP, out of the box.

That’s not true. The note pro has had 3 or 4 updates since it’s release. Samsung is actually the best Android manufacturer when it comes to supporting their devices.
