Who would have thought that 20 years ago you would be able to have access to some of the same technology in cars, as you can while at home or out and about. All car manufacturers are embracing the latest technology, with Buick taking to twitter to share their excitement with OnStar 4G LTE.
The American car maker has announced a list of 2015 Buick models that will support 4G LTE, and we can tell you that it is almost most of the models. Buick are to start offering this features in models from the summer, which means with the use of built-in Wi-Fi, drivers will be able to access OnStar via high-speed 4G LTE.
What this means to 2015 Buick drivers — If you are lucky enough to purchase a new Buick this summer, then you will have access to the Internet, play games, download movies or music, send emails and much more. This new feature will be ideal for those of you who spend a lot of time in your vehicle, such as reps, or even if you are a family going on road trip, meaning your children will find it very hard to get bored.

2015 Buick models supporting OnStar 4G LTE are the Encore, LaCrosse, Regal and finally the Verano. While the hardware will come as standard in these models, as usual you will need to pay for the appropriate data package in either the US or Canada.
Buick says that this technology will be in every new model from 2016
What else you get in the package — Each 2015 Buick model making use of OnStar 4G LTE technology will also come with the Buick AppShop, which gives you access to apps and Internet radio. While the list of apps is small at the moment, they will grow once more drivers start to use the service.
However, one of the more important apps has to be Vehicle Health, as this will monitor your Buick and then if a diagnostic report comes back showing a problem with your vehicle, then you will be able to book a maintenance appointment.
