In a very rare change to the normal Bungie schedule, the current Destiny Xur location will continue with the Agent of the Nine receiving an extended stay in the tower until Monday, December 29. This change to the normal hours is thanks to Destiny server problems with online play unavailable to many this weekend, so now you will be able to visit Xur in Destiny for at least an extra day.
We detailed issues with Destiny servers being down a couple of days ago, and this was especially the case on PS4 and PS3 with the E-8200013A and NW-31194-8 error. In fact, some PlayStation owners have had success changing their MTU setting.
Xur times extended in Destiny until Dec 29 – normally, we’d see the agent leave on Sunday but this isn’t happening today like we first thought. Earlier today, Bungie detailed the complaints about servers being unavailable and explained plans to extend his time at the tower.
Bungie said they’re going to “extend his stay”, although how long this extension is could change at any point. Currently, Xur will remain in Destiny at this location until 10pm PST on Monday Dec 29, or 6am on Tuesday Dec 30 in the UK.
There’s also a promise to “prolong the extension”, if this is needed. Hit the link above to see where is Xur on Sunday and Monday, or leave a comment and let us know if you think he should stay in the tower even longer?
