Minecraft 1.6.4 Xbox One update notes live, PS4 missing

We have some good news for Xbox owners now, not so much to those playing on PlayStation. The new Minecraft 1.6.4 update on Xbox One and Xbox 360 has just gone live. However, the Minecraft 1.6.4 PS4 and PS3 release date, or TU 19 is missing and is not ready for launch yet.

Developers 4J Studios have just confirmed hours ago that the new Minecraft TU19 update should be live for all Xbox players. At the same time however, they have also confirmed in advance that the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita update is ‘coming soon’, meaning that it’s not finished testing yet.

This is obviously disappointing for those playing on PlayStation, but great for Xbox Minecraft players as this will feel like an exclusive update. For those that are playing right now, we can bring you the Minecraft 1.6.4 update notes, as 4J Studios has revealed them in full on their forum.

They include Witch Huts as a new terrain generation feature, a horse spawn egg, hardened clay and fireworks as well, which is great. You can find the full Minecraft 1.6.4 patch notes here – read through them in detail as they apply to both Xbox One and 360 platforms.

Let’s hope that 4J Studios will not delay further with regards to the update for PlayStation platforms.

If you are playing on PS4, PS Vita or PS3, give us your thoughts on the fact that it is only out on Xbox today – are you unhappy about this?
