Viber Dec app update to target iPhone 6, Plus

- Dec 15, 2014

The final Viber app update for 2014 will release in December and target iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus support. While the update will still need to pass Apple’s review process, we hear that it will bring some bug fixes for iOS 8 and previous versions, but mainly focus on delivering compatibility for the latest hardware.

This news comes after an expansion into gaming from those behind this popular chat app. It’s not clear if the Viber Dec app update has been submitted for review just yet, although this will no doubt be the final update for the year.

If you own an iPhone 6 Plus or the smaller size, then this will be an update you might have been looking forward to seeing release. You can count on the update appearing for download within the next few days, or at the latest before Christmas day.

The previous iOS version took the app to 5.1.1 and not only included Public Chats, but also focused on feature support for iOS 8. This is now going to be the final changes in 2014, to bring the demanded iPhone 6 support needed. We will have the full changelog the moment it goes live in the coming days, so for now leave a comment with any Viber app bugs you still want to see fixed?
