We have some interesting PS4 news to bring you now, direct from the Far East. Sony has just announced that they are to officially sell the PS4 console in China as of January 2015.
The big news is though, is that Chinese gamers can get their hands on the PS4 Dragon Edition – a limited edition version of the system which features a very awesome-looking golden dragon logo on the front.
On closer inspection, it actually just looks like a faceplate, similar in the way in which Sony officially confirmed Little Big Planet 3 and The Order 1886 faceplates recently.
The Order 1886 and Little Big Planet PS4 faceplates are now in stock on Sony’s US Store for $24.99 and we have a feeling that there would be huge demand if Sony were to add this Dragon PS4 faceplate to the list.
Then again, it is probably seen as an incentive for Chinese consumers to buy the console with an element of rarity attached to it. Many times we see Japanese gamers receive very nice PlayStation colors which never make it to Europe or US, so we will have to wait and see whether the same process will apply to this Dragon PS4 Edition console.
Put it this way, would you be willing to buy a Dragon PS4 faceplate for $24.99 if Sony made one available as a standalone purchase? Let your thoughts be heard below!
