I can still remember when Tomb Raider II was released back in 1997, which seems scary because it only seems like a couple of years ago. Older games like these have been making a bit of a comeback thanks to mobile devices, and so the release of Tomb Raider 2 for iOS was only a matter of time.
For just $1.99 or £1.49 you get to relive such a classic title and while the graphics will not push the boundaries of the iPhone 6 or iPad Air 2, after a while you will ignore that and be completely engrossed in the gameplay. You can watch some gameplay in the video below.
Speaking of gameplay, there have been a few changes so that you now get new locations and unlockable achievements, as well as a range of new weapons to make the gaming app feel more complete.
Like other iOS games it will take a while to transition to touch-based controls, and so you might be better off using a game controller to attach to your iPhone.
Some of the key features are new locations in China, Italy, Tibet and Venice. There is a total of 50 unique achievements to unlock, the Golden mask expansion and so much more, all of which can be seen in detail on iTunes.
