While most Samsung Galaxy S5 owners are patently waiting for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Lollipop update, others are already looking ahead to the inevitable Samsung Galaxy S6 release date.
We can bring you some Galaxy S6 news now, as leak specialists SamMobile have dropped some great information which we wanted to share with you. According to their sources, Samsung’s next flagship device will be called the Samsung Galaxy S6, meaning that Samsung isn’t wasting any time on other minor device launches in 2015.
Furthermore, they also state that there will be two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S6 – a standard model and also a Galaxy S6 Edge, which will come with the same curved feature that we saw debuted with the Galaxy Note Edge.
While another new Galaxy S phone from Samsung in 2016 is not a surprising revelation, consumers will need to see a significant upgrade in Galaxy S6 specs in order to even consider a purchase given that a new Galaxy S6 smartphone will not be cheap.
Fortunately, we can give you a good heads-up on what the device should feature when it launches. SamMobile are usually spot on when it comes to revealing information early, so the specs that follow should provide a solid indication of what the Galaxy S6 will ship with.
Assuming they are correct, we will be seeing a fantastic Galaxy S6 display which includes a stunning Quad HD display screen with a 2560×1440 resolution. No exact word on display size yet, but obviously expect anything from 5 inches to 6-inches.
As for the Samsung Galaxy S6 processor, the Korean giant are again expected to impress. We are hearing about a probable 64-bit Exynos 7420 chip being fitted inside the International version of the Galaxy S6, while 4G LTE versions could come with a Snapdragon 810 processor setup.
Just to give you an idea of how big a game changer that would be to prospective Galaxy S6 buyers, we are talking about the next-generation of Snapdragon processor here, which comes with a 4GB RAM spec as standard.
