Blaupunkt 32/147 32-inch TV review without Full HD

By Alan Ng - Nov 28, 2014

Earlier on we told you about the 50-inch Blaupunkt TV, which is currently being offered for a low price in the UK. Now we switch our attention to a Blaupunkt 32/147 32 Inch HD Ready 720p TV review, to see what this budget sized model can offer.

As the description above suggests, this is not a Full HD TV which already puts it as a major disadvantage if you intend to watch 1080p TV channels and also play Xbox One and PS4 games in full HD.

In reality, you will only be able to output content at a max resolution of 1366×768, which is 720p and why you’ll see this TV advertised as ‘HD ready’, rather than Full HD which is usually the bare minimum requirement for budget televisions.

We can also confirm that the Blaupunkt 32/147 TV refresh rate is not 60Hz either, but actually 50Hz in reality. Many of you may feel that 60Hz is the minimum required for a suitable gaming experience, so that’s another factor to consider.

There is however 3 HDMI ports included, as well as USB port to view media on external hard drives. 720p is not ideal but this could still be the perfect TV for the bedroom or for your children’s first television.

We’ve also seen this television fall under the £100 price point over the last few hours, so you may want to consider buying one as a backup TV – Tesco are offering a five year guarantee as a further incentive.

Is 720p resolution a deal breaker for you, or would you still have a purpose for this Blaupunkt 32/147 32 Inch HD Ready 720p LED TV With Freeview? Let us know if you are considering a purchase and if you have managed to pick one up during the busy shopping sales.
