The Sony a7 II price and release date have now been confirmed and we can tell you that for the body only you will pay $1,700 or around $2,000 if you choose the FE 28-70mm lens kit. You will be able to get your hands on this full-frame mirrorless interchangeable lens camera from December the 9th.
Exact pricing may change a little so we will just have to keep a close eye on things, although with Christmas fast approaching we would not be surprised if some stores were to offer some sort of incentive, such as a free case, and there is always cash back to consider.
The biggest improvement made to the Sony a7II is stabilization, as you can use the telephoto lenses safe in the knowledge that your shots will be still with no blurs. We know other cameras offer this, but built-in optical steady shot takes things to the next level.
Sony’s upcoming camera also has plenty of other tricks up its sleeve, such as fast, accurate autofocus with Fast Hybrid AF, superb image quality along with enriched video recording functionalities, as well as full-frame sensor and the proven BIONZ XTM image processing engine.
You also get Wi-Fi and NFC for improved connectivity options without the need for cables. There is so much more to learn about the new Sony a7, and so we ask that you head over to the official page, although this is for Europe as the US site has yet to get updated.
