Far Cry 4 1.4.0 PC Patch release time imminent

By Alan Ng - Nov 23, 2014

Far Cry 4 is turning out to be a wonderful experience on PC, but we can also see that there’s still some niggling problems that need to be ironed out. Ubisoft are currently at work on this, with the Far Cry 4 1.4.0 PC patch release time on the way very soon.

This patch has actually been delayed. We were expecting it to arrive on Friday, as what Ubisoft initially revealed on their forums.

However, the developer has since stated that they are still working on this patch and that they will try to get it out as soon as possible. We’ve also heard some rumors that the Far Cry 4 1.4.0 update will be available on Monday – but again, Ubisoft has not confirmed this as true.

While Ubisoft works on the patch, we can tell you what two confirmed fixes will be. The first is a Far Cry 4 black screen fix on PC, while the second is a grey screen fix in Far Cry 4 when players are at the end of an Outpost Master Mission.

Ubisoft has also said that the Far Cry 4 1.4.0 patch notes will be going live before the patch is available to download – when they do, they will be available here but there’s nothing yet.

Are you specifically waiting for the Far Cry 4 1.4.0 release date on PC? If so, tell us what your problems are at the moment. Were you also expecting this update on Friday?

jst a secon , im playing the game at mid settings on dual core ?!?

Ubisoft lied to all of us and STOLE our money. They refuse to give any refunds for a BROKEN product. They should be sued class-action for fraud. Black screens and broken promises – that’s all we got for our $60.

probably won’t be fixed ( the black screen ) because it’s a dual core CPU issue for most people and this game doesn’t support dual core

I went out and got a new graphics card and CPU for this game’s release costing me near one £250. Plus i paid £49.99 for the game and i have been unable to play it since its release

Should of just done what I did and get it for free, I am not paying for Ubisoft games since I was never able to get past the first cutscene in Blacklist without it crashing so unless they fix it they will all be pirated. If you don’t want to pirate it you could of gotten it with the GTX 9xx series if you are upgrading GPU.

I’ve got 2XG1 GAMING GTX 970 running in SLI and this thing stutters like a biatch regardless of the settings or reso. I’ve read so many forums of people complaining of the same thing… changed XML file, turned off AA etc etc – Even turned off hyperthreading to avoid the one core at 100% all the time – STILL NO LUCK! My rig cost over £2K and smashes all other games some in 4K reso, but with FC4 – PANTS!

I was expecting to play the game at 10pm the night before. Now I am stuck waiting to play a game that I payed full price for while thousands of others are experiencing it already. This is the second time this year that I have experienced this with Ubisoft.
