Most of us choose a new TV based on two things, features and price, although there are also those that stick with a certain brand for years, much as I have with Samsung. I have tried a multitude of other brands, but always found Samsung to offer the best in terms of build quality, specs and features, as well as a perfect price point, although this is just a personal view. This is also what some of you will think about Seiki because while they are not one of the better known brands, they go to huge lengths to offer high standards and a fair price, and the Seiki SE19HE01 19-inch TV is a good example of that.
Ok, so we know this is not the latest 19-inch model from the brand, that would go to the SE19HY10 and SE19HT01. However, the reason we have gone for the older model is because its features are similar to the newer models but with a major difference, price. We know you will be able to get a bargain later this month with the older TV mentioned above, and so we would like to see what its main specs are.
Before we take a look, wanted to show you a few in-depth review videos, but there does not seem to be any, and so makes us wonder why the reviews are MIA? Having said that, we did come across a few consumer reviews from Amazon customers, and based on 569 reviews the TV has 4 out of 5 stars, which we have to say is rather positive.
One of the reasons why this model proves so popular is that it is ideal in any kitchen or as TV for your child’s room to connect with a DVD or Blu-ray player, such as the Sony BDP-BX520.
Going back to those specs, we have that 19-inch LED panel with a 1366 x 768 WXGA HD resolution, and you can view your movies as the director intended for you to do with a maximum aspect ratio of 16:9. However, the 150:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 200 cd/m² brightness are not going to highlight the details as much as other TVs, although that is not what this one is all about.
Connections and measurements – One USB and HDMI, Component Video and VGA Input. As for dimensions, these are as follows, 17.56″ × 12.40″ and 6.50″ (WxHxD) with stand in inches and 17.56″ × 11.10″ and 1.77″ without stand.
Can you see yourself going for this model TV during the busy shopping season and if so, what room will it be going in?
