Assassin’s Creed Unity PC graphics boasted Vs PS4, Xbox One

By Alan Ng - Nov 11, 2014

Assassin’s Creed Unity is now available in the US after a successful midnight launch. Now we switch our attention to the PC version, as we can already show you some breathtaking Assassin’s Creed Unity PC graphics running with 4K resolution.

We know that there are going to be inevitable Assassin’s Creed Unity PS4 Vs Xbox One Vs PC graphics comparisons, but with the game not out yet in Europe we may have to wait until next week to see them.

One user who has a hardcore PC setup though has already wasted no time in showing off what the game will look like on PC with a 3930k resolution. The setup used to achieve this level of clarity comes courtesy of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 SLI package which will offer around 30-40FPS on max settings.

Take a look at the town (download link in 4K here)using these settings just to give you a taster. Most will agree that it is pretty stunning considering that this isn’t even a cutscene in the game, just a screenshot from open play.

Another image below gives you a close up of how facial models (download 4K image here)will look like at 4K resolution. Pay close attention to the level of detail used for the hair effects – pretty staggering we have to say seeing what Ubisoft has managed to achieve.

While we fully expect PS4 and Xbox One versions will look impressive, these two images here are a good example why some gamers will always choose PC.

Because of Ubisoft’s enforced console parity, this will be a nonpurchase for me.

Doesn’t make a game’s story less than what it is, whiners

Also Ubisoft stated that one of the consoles suffer from a lower resolution due to slower CPU speeds. Xbox One has a faster CPU than PS4. So if you own a PS4 and your upset and thinking its because its Microsoft fault, well you’d be wrong

Anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of resolution knows that is has nothing to do with the CPU. Framerate, yes, resolution, no. Goolge it. I am with Nettrick above. No buy for me. Xboners should not buy it either. Ubi only care about the PC version as evidenced by this article. Ubi have basically said they don’t give a toss about console players. But I hope most PC gamers torrent this. That will teach them. They only understand money, which is fair enough as they are a business. But no business should expect that consumers would be willing to pay more for less. In Australia, the PS4 version cost $90 whereas the PC version costs $59. And clearly thy spent all their time optimising the PC., ANYONE who pays more than say $30 for the console version is a moron. For less than half the effort, they deserrve less than half the money. Simple.
