Destiny PS4 Vs Xbox One file size

Destiny is almost here after a long wait and now we have a useful heads-up on Destiny PS4 and Xbox One file sizes, for those that want to know if they need to delete files to accommodate Bungie’s new shooter.

As most of you know, there is going to be a Destiny pre-load service available, allowing those that have already pre-ordered a digital copy the chance to play the minute the clock strikes midnight.

Despite the fact that Destiny launches worldwide on September 9, we can already see evidence on social media that some gamers have been lucky enough to obtain copies early.

The good news for you though is that it means we can now bring you a heads-up on the file sizes. Those pre-loading on PS4 and Xbox One should be seeing a size of around 16-18GB to place the game files on your console early.

However, the full game install reportedly requires 40GB of space and this is thought to be the same on both PS4 and Xbox One. Screenshots on the PS4 digital versions reveals that the full download is going to be 30-32GB, but combine that with the pre-load files and we could see the game coming close to the 50GB mark – which brings us to the same size that the likes of Killzone Shadow Fall were.

Are you pre-loading Destiny at the moment? Let us know if you are going for a digital or retail version of the game on PS4 and Xbox One and the file sizes that you have seen so far.

Is this going to be the biggest game launch of 2014 or not?
