PlanetSide 2 beta over PS4 release date

- Aug 27, 2014

If you have been following the news surrounding a PlanetSide 2 PS4 beta and its release date, then you would have likely also seen the unhappy tweets in regard to this game. If you’re unsure what we are talking about you should watch the video below this article, which landed on YouTube just under a week ago and reveals PlanetSide 2 developers reading “Mean Tweets”.

Most gamers don’t agree with the tweets highlighted in the video, although those that do suggest the developers release a PlanetSide 2 beta. Messages left on social networks can get nasty with passionate outbursts, and in this case it’s due to the lack of a PlanetSide 2 PS4 beta date.

The game released on PC coming up to 2 years ago. The PS4 version is tagged with a worldwide release at some point in 2014, so considering we’re about to move into September that doesn’t leave much time for the full game or beta.

If you want to see some footage, take a look at this video showcased at E3 2014, or watch the PlanetSide 2 keynote below that was filmed at SOE Live 2014 earlier this month.

Fans have been contacted both the PlanetSide 2 team and PlayStation Support on Twitter this month asking for a release date. You can see one example in the tweet below, although any feedback just explains this information isn’t available yet.

Finally, our third video embedded below takes a look at Planetside 2 Loadouts on the PS4 and how they are a “Work in Progress”. Take a look at the videos below, and then let us know if you are going to get Planetside 2 on PS4?

We were told this was going to be a LAUNCH TITLE for ps4. Does anyone remember that? This had better be polished as hell by the time it does launch

  • It’s OK. Destiny will be out in a few weeks and Planetside 2 won’t matter.

      Can’t agree more

Same destiny hypes gunna be its downfall this dying light and AC Unity look far more impressive you can have like 12 people max in a game of destiny in planet side 2 you can have 2000 lol

Destiny was a disappointment and since then all the games that come out are the same. Hopefully this whole thing with bugged, overrated games will affect pre-order marketing. Exploitation, nothing more.

I played the beta of destiny. It wasn’t that good. Planetside 2 excites me far more.

      • It excited me to, but I’m tired of waiting for a release date.
