YouTube app update stops iPhone crashing

By Daniel Chubb - Aug 22, 2014

The latest YouTube app update for iPhone stops crashing thanks to version 2.9.3 targeting problems with iOS devices. The release notes had just one line for public eyes, which states the update fixes top crashes on the said platform.

It’s unclear exactly what crashing had been fixed with the YouTube iPhone and iPad app, although if you experienced common crashing problems then they should now be fixed. Of course, if you still find the video streaming application not working and certainly if it’s crashing, please share a comment with the details. The latest update landed on August 20, 2014.

Main features of the official YouTube app for iPad and iPhone include the ability to watch a video while looking for another, search for different playlists, subscribe to favorite channels, share the videos you like socially, and of course sign-in for a more personal experience. The app used to be installed with iOS by default, but this changed some time ago.

Did you have any problems with the YouTube app crashing before and if so, have these issues been fixed with the v2.9.3 update? You can install the latest improvements by going to updates within the App Store app on iOS 7.
