The Sims 4 CAS demo live, Mac MIA

By Daniel Chubb - Aug 13, 2014

We expected The Sims 4 Create a Sim demo to go live today and in fact, it did although not in the official way we thought. Only on PC at this time, The Sims 4 CAS demo is live on Origin as you can see in the screenshot below this page and once you click it you might wonder where the trial version is after seeing a price to buy.

The screen below highlights the text link you need to click to download and try The Sims 4 CAS demo before you buy. If you are not signed in to Origin, then clicking the trial link will open a new page and ask you to sign in before a download becomes available.

You should note that the official Sims 4 Twitter channel hasn’t mentioned the demo being live on Origin and we guess they jumped the gun a little here before an official announcement. The EA press conference takes place today and there’s a live stream, so this is when we expect the official news to break.

Have you been able to download The Sims 4 Create a Sim demo already from Origin without problems? We’ll publish details on the live EA stream in the next few moments, and the official reveal of the public try before you buy version. Sadly, there’s no Mac OS X version at this time.

gamer1234 it doesnt mean they forgot about mac users we are hoping this means they are going a different route then what they did with the sims 3(as in NO CIDER!) why no create a sim demo? no clue possibly the same thing because if they have the non mac one out it means that we will have to wait longer(less issues/glitches/etc)for both the actual game and possible the SIMS 4 CAS DEMO

I sent them an email asking them to buy me a PC so I could play the game when it comes out, still waiting for a response. I will update you when an answer comes.
