It has been a long time in the making, but finally we are pleased to confirm that PS4 3D Blu-Ray support is coming. Sony has just announced within the last few hours that this feature will be available with the PS4 1.75 update.
Even better, we can also tell you that this new update will arrive next week so the countdown is now on for one of the most requested PS4 features since launch. Don’t forget that this is coming off the back of the PS4 1.74 update which offered no new features for gamers and also just after Microsoft announced the same feature for Xbox One owners with the Xbox One August 2014 update.
Now though Sony are fighting back and as you can imagine there are a lot of happy PS4 owners right now after reading that they will soon be able to put their 3D Blu-Rays inside the console and use the PS4 as their primary media box at home.

There’s no set date for when the update will arrive, but don’t be surprised if it lands on Tuesday or Wednesday along with the usual PlayStation Store update.
Hopefully this is Sony’s way of saying that they are listening to the fans and plan to continue to deliver other missing PS4 features as well. Give us your reaction to the news that Sony is finally offering 3D Blu-Ray support with the PS4 1.75 update.
Is this a game changer for you?
