Mobogenie Market app removed from Play Store

By Peter Chubb - Jul 23, 2014

The Mobogenie Market app has been removed from the Play Store, which does seem a little strange considering how popular the app is. The last time we looked there were almost 1.4 million user reviews and 50,000,000 – 100,000,000 installs.

There has been no confirmation as to why the Mobogenie Market app is missing, but we do hope to hear from the developer soon. Having said that, there does seem to be another way in which to install Mobogenie, but it cannot be done in the usual way.

However, this route does not seem to be as popular, and neither does the app itself.

We have been unable to see why Mobogenie Market has been removed from Google Play Store, and with there being no updates as to why, there is hope this could have been done in error, although it is not looking good seeing as though it has now been unavailable for a while now.

We are not certain how long it has been since the app was removed, but the most recent chached snapshot was taken on July 21st.

Upon further inspection, it would seem as though this app was removed just after the 21st, and there are no Mobogenie Market app reviews after this date, which seems very strange for an app that has been downloaded so many times.

Could it finally be the gazillion shady install tactics Mobogenie conducts? I can’t even surf the web in a mobile browser without some Mobogenie crap popping up trying to get me to install the app.
