By Alan Ng - Jul 18, 2014

It’s an exciting time for Dark Souls 2 fans now, as within days you will finally get the chance to play the Dark Souls 2 Crown of the Sunken King DLC. We have a heads-up for you on when to expect the Dark Souls 2 DLC release date and also how to unlock it and get started to.

Dark Souls 2 DLC is going to arrive in a way which you may not be expecting. In other games of its genre, you may expect to see the new content pop up as soon as you reboot the game following installation.

However, with Crown of the Sunken King, you’ll actually need to do some preparation in the main campaign in order to gain access to the new content after purchase.

This has been explained in further detail by IGN here. The main news is that you can expect to play Darks Souls 2 Crown of the Sunken King in 5 days as Namco Bandai has said it will be going live on July 22.

Those looking to get the content on day one should be noted that the Dark Souls 2 Crown of the Sunken King price has been set at $9.99 per episode – this content will actually be the first of three packs to release over the coming months.
