FIFA 15 UK cover with Sturridge, Toure likely

By Alan Ng - Jul 16, 2014

We now know that Lionel Messi will be the main star that will feature on the global FIFA 15 cover. However, what we don’t know yet though is the FIFA 15 UK cover specifically, in relation to the Premiership players that will be joining Messi on the cover.

Luis Suarez was odds on to be chosen alongside Messi after winning every award last season for Liverpool FC, but now with his move to Barcelona complete, EA will have to look elsewhere if they continue their tradition of selecting players that play in the Premiership aside from the main global cover star which is once again Messi.

With this in mind, who do you think the contenders will be for the FIFA 15 UK cover? If we were to guess on who may be up for selection, we would choose Daniel Sturridge of Liverpool and Yaya Toure of Manchester City.

Toure was arguably the best foreign player in the Premiership last season, while Daniel Sturridge was arguably the best English player in the Premiership, so that’s our picks.

We have seen the likes of Joe Hart and Wayne Rooney on previous FIFA UK covers down the years, but obviously both players have not had amazing seasons with their respective clubs so we doubt EA will consider them for selection.

If you are looking forward to the release of FIFA 15, let us know what your predictions are for the Premiership-based players that will join Lionel Messi on the FIFA 15 UK cover.

Do you agree that Sturridge and Yaya Toure are contenders? Feel free to offer alternatives if you think we are wrong on this.

Neymar should be on the cover over Messi. Brazil where doing well till he broke a bone in his back.

True, but Messi must have a long-term deal with EA as he’s been the main star for a while now. Would have been nice to see Neymar for a change.
