Those who love horror games have a real treat on the way with The Evil Within. The game is on course for a release this October and now we have some brand new The Evil Within gameplay for you to check out.
We have not seen the game since Bethesda showed the title off last year in September. However, The Evil Within has been shown during the Japan Expo 2014 in France and with it, a fresh look at the game.
Unfortunately though, it’s not the best quality as the footage we have has been captured off screen during the event. Considering that we haven’t seen new footage since September, we have a feeling that some of you will still appreciate the update and a chance to see new gameplay before the game’s launch.
We’ve posted the video below, but you’ll need to skip to 18.35 to see the actual footage. It’s still decent enough though and we can also learn a few new gameplay elements as well thanks to the new footage.
Tango Gameworks, who are developing the game have said that the zombie AI will be a lot more intelligent than what you would have seen before in similar games of its genre.
For example, zombies will have the ability to pick up excessive noise made by the player when opening and kicking doors, while we can also tell you that zombie locations are randomized as well – i.e., no zombies in the same set position every time you revisit or replay the game.
It really looks like a solid game in terms of gameplay but also satisfying those that really want to see something scary akin to that of the original Resident Evil and Silent Hill games.
Are you looking forward to The Evil Within? Enjoy the off-screen footage below and give us your thoughts.
