If you are waiting for the first full-on Tata Zest review, then we are afraid you will have to wait until Monday, as that is when the embargo gets lifted. It will be very interesting to see what the Indian media think of this new vehicle, which has just been confirmed to be released in August.
Details on this car are very limited, such as the Tata Zest price in India, but this will also be made available to us next month. Having said that, the expected price is INR 5-8 lakhs, ex-showroom, so let’s see how close Tata get to this shall we.
We do know that the Zest will come with a choice of engines, which are a turbocharged 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine and a 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel engine. These push out 88.2 horsepower each, although the diesel option does offer more torque.
As for specs, we can tell you that the top of the line Zest offers LED daytime running lights, which are mounted to the bumper, projector headlamps and 15-inch alloy wheels. As for the interior, you get a touchscreen multimedia infotainment system, which also comes with voice control and an 8-speaker audio system.
Tata Zest safety features include dual airbags, reverse parking sensor, ABS, EBD and corner stability control.
There’s not much else we can tell you, but to familiarize yourself with the Tata’s latest vehicle until that embargo ends on Monday, we thought we would add a walkround video for you, which gives you a closer look at the exterior and interior of the upcoming Zest.
