Assassin’s Creed Pirates free on iOS, not Android

- Jul 10, 2014

The Ubisoft Assassin’s Creed Pirates app will be free on iPad, iPhone, and other iOS devices all week long. Sadly, the same cannot be said for Assassin’s Creed Pirates on Android, which after a quick look on Google play reveals a price tag of just under £3 in the UK and $5 for USA.

Apple users gained an update this month to version 1.4.1 with performance improvements to a game that allows you to get involved in naval battles, build up a crew and your ship, explore The Caribbean, and much more all in stunning 3D graphics for phone and tablet.

Assassin’s Creed Pirates was worth a download when you had to pay for it, but now it’s free on iOS it should be a no brainer to at least test the game. If the cost changes on Android we’ll let Product Reviews readers know, although it looks like only iPhone and iPad users will get a freebie this week.

Have you played this pirate game from Ubisoft and if so, do you recommend it for paid/free?
