Samsung Gear 2 firmware update live

By Peter Chubb - Jun 17, 2014

The Tizen powered Samsung Gear 2 has just received a new update to firmware version, meaning your smartwatch should run even better. In order to get the update you will need to go to the Gear Manager on the small device in order to make full use of the new features.

New features in Samsung Gear 2 firmware update include improvements to S health, along with several new notifications, one of which includes Blocking Mode.

If you do not wish to be notified about anything, then you can use the new Samsung Gear 2 Blocking Mode, you can even turn off all notifications if you do now want to be disturbed.

We don’t know any of the other changes as yet, but we expect a full Samsung Gear 2 change list soon, which SamMobile should learn first.

Because this is a Tizen based device you can feel happy in the knowledge that updates will be made at a faster rate than Samsung’s Android devices, as there is not all the usual UI hurdles between two pieces of software to take into consideration.
